Coffs Harbour Specific Data Info

IFD information in the Coffs Creek, Boambee/Newport Creek, Bonville Creek and Kororo Creek catchments was updated to reflect the extreme orographic enhancement in these relatively small catchments. These small catchments are covered by a network of gauges that regularly show rainfall totals 3 times higher in rarer events than the main Coffs rainfall gauge at the airport. This IFD is based on a scaling relationship based on topographical predictors between the main gauge and the network of upstream gauges.

The dataset served here is the June 2023 revision, which supersedes the October 2021 grid. It applies within the four study catchments listed above; outside them the default IFD for the area is used instead.
